What We Can Confirm at this Time
As of 10:57 am, May 15, 2024
- At or around 4 a.m, a team member reported a strange odor that was later confirmed to be a natural gas Leak.
- The gas leak caused an explosion that immediately killed 10 Hershey team members. No other deaths have been reported at this time.
- At least 30 team members were taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries.
- The Hershey West Distribution Center is closed until further notice.
